By the end of the week, Gabe was sure every member of his pack had stopped by. Curiosity ran thick through all of them. Many had met Jordan Ricky, who still remained at the bed and breakfast in town. Gabe hadn’t met the werewolf yet. But he figured it was about time to pay the asshole a visit.
After calling Pamela to make sure she was at his den, he made sure Stone would head to the den to keep an eye on her.
“Don’t go and do something stupid,” Stone said when Gabe dropped him off. “Just remember, you fight him for the right to Pamela, then you mate with her for life.”
“That won’t happen until Pamela and I agree it’s time.” He hadn’t discussed it with her, but she deserved that much. “I’ll let you know right now though…she’s already mine.”
Stone nodded. “I know.”
His littermate actually didn’t give him shit for such a deep confession. And that’s what it had been too. The more time he spent with the spitfire bitch, the more he needed to be with her. So damned sexy and full of life, he’d never met another female like her. Pulling out of the gravel drive onto the highway, he knew that no matter what, he would have her as a mate. That much he’d decided. Just picturing her long blonde hair flowing around her, the way her eyes sparkled when she smiled, and that damn defiant attitude of hers, made him want to turn back around and fuck her silly before going to see Ricky.
Would serve the prick right to smell her cum on him when he showed up to talk to him.

Evening traffic wasn’t too bad, and he made it through town before too long. Pulling into the parking lot of the bed and breakfast in a quiet part of Prince George, his cell phone rang as he parked.
“Yes?” he answered, recognizing his home number on the phone.
“What are you doing?” Pamela sounded breathless.
For a brief moment the thought that Stone would try to fuck her entered his mind. He shoved it to the side just as quickly. Stone wouldn’t touch her without Gabe’s consent.
“Don’t worry about me. I’m fine.”
“I got Stone to tell me,” she said, letting her words fade off and a brief silence follow.
Gabe waited, realizing he hadn’t formed a formal plan of what he would say to the werewolf.
Get the fuck out of town, or I’ll kill you sounded pretty damned appealing to him.
“Gabe?” her voice had grown quieter. “Are you going to challenge him?”
It made sense that she’d worry about something like that. And he wouldn’t take her without her consent. Pamela had a right to say who she mated with. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, it would be him. But Gabe would wait until she said she was ready.
“Nope.” He worked to make his manner light. “Just thought it was time to greet our visitor.”
“I see. Well you just do that.” The line went dead and Gabe
